Hailing from Dunsborough, a sleepy coastal town in the southwest, Brayden Sibbald is a regular on the wineries and weddings circuit. But while he’s used these gigs to hone his performance to a fine art, he’s been quietly developing his very own sound – a dark, electronic dreamscape created from sample pads, keys, a drum machine, guitar, and those powerful vocals.
The 23-year-old, who has a prodigious ability to create an entire sonic world from his bedroom, is being compared to the likes of D.D. Dumbo. Just ask producer Matt Gio who – despite working with names like Troye Sivan and Rudimental – says Sibbald’s new EP Float is one of the best records he’s ever worked on.
Lead single 'Baby I Caught Myself Under’ has just dropped. It’s the first taste of the complex, addictive Float, an EP Sibbald has been perfecting over the last year.
