Belle Miners are Canadian musicians Felicia Harding and Marina Avros and Australian-based Jaime Jackett. Armed with their new album 'Powerful Owl', the Belle Miners will return to Australia in January 2018 for their third tour of the continent. Since 2015, they’ve entertained Australian fans, drawing repeat crowds and heartfelt testimonies. Lifelong friendship, a witty disposition, irrepressible charm and perfect vocal fusion blend to create music that brings many to tears and leaves every audience begging for more. Wherever they go, they repeat crowds, heartfelt testimonies and invitations to return. The band’s name was inspired by the rhythmical intonation of Bell Miners in the Australian bush. The Belle Miners’ audiences have come to know the perfect blend of three powerful voices that signifies their bright, sunlit sound. Baker Studios’ exquisite production of their new album, captures this concoction with intensity and complexity. These are three striking musical talents. Imagine Lana Del Ray, KD Lang and Missy Higgins on stage together ... three industrious singer-songwriters but who share a lifetime of intimate musical history!
About this track...
'Night Flight' is written about the night skies of the Kimberley, WA in the Dry Season but inspired by Jaime's 11-year battle with cancer. "This song is for all the many, many people who are staring down the same barrel and putting up one hell of a fight," she says.
