Song-writer/multi-instrumentalist, M.Carney describes the creative and recording process for ‘Finley’s Downfall’ –
“The track was inspired by the downfall of Finley Quaye, an English dub artist I grew up listening to. The melodic idea came on a piano but I transferred it to some synths before Dan came along with the vocal lines to help it sound trés cooler. We swapped the session a few times between our two home studios until it all started clicking together and had good friend Jean Gallows mix it all down.”
Debut songs ‘Erroll’s Forest’ and ‘Within You’ received support from local online press, community radio and triple j Unearthed. The group have also performed shows supporting the likes of I Know Leopard, Polish Club and have even held their own gigs on front man Daniel Forsyth’s front lawn.
Over the coming months the band will continue to work on new material and perform around Sydney and the NSW Central Coast.
