Asha Jefferies is the enviable type of youngster a lot dreamed of being. From an early age, she's written mature, introspective songs delivered by a voice that will stop you in your tracks. Now at 19, she is ready to release her debut EP Hold Yourself Together, a six-song collection of her best work to date.
Her goosebump-inducing single ‘Honey, Save Me From My Falsehoods’ triggered national attention. 'Chaos' followed in early '18 and garnered immense love from triple j Unearthed and community radio while being shortlisted for Vanda & Young's Songwriting Competition.
'Everybody Talks' came next and was immediately added to full triple j rotation the same week she would play her first performances at  BIGSOUND, instantly making her an essential artist to catch at the annual conference.
Latest single ‘If You Were My Hero’ was directed and designed by NIDA students after winning the triple j Unearthed’s 2018 NIDA competition last year.

Recorded over 12-months, the EP features musicianship of Asha's band and the production of local Simon Nelson, LA-based Miro Mackie, Demetry Malahoff and Asha herself. These six songs work effortlessly as a perfectly-rounded EP and huge promise of what's to come from the mind of Asha, who has already begun writing her debut album.

About this track...

"There has never been anything easy about this song. It’s about being blinded and voiceless in love. Yep, we’re diving right in deep to the underworld of emotional drainage, manipulation, being the second main character in your own life. It’s still a song that really shakes me and reminds me of the time I wrote it."
