Arpier - Future

Arpier - Future
Arpier are an upcoming indie-rock duo consisting of old-time schoolmates Liam and Robert, hailing from the inner-city suburbs of Brisbane.

The two first became acquainted in the fifth grade at primary school, started jamming out in the music room at lunchtimes in year nine, and officially joined forces to form Arpier in year twelve.

Since then, the two have been bouncing around the ever-eclectic Brisbane music scene, spreading their punchy alt rock & chilled jazz-fusion vibes to venues all across the city.

2016 sees the lads advance their careers with their first official release of their debut single ‘Future’.

Recorded in a friend of a friend’s home studio on Brisbane’s northside, ‘Future’ is a lyrical marvel.

Written back in 2013, the slow-burner smoothly flows through the themes of “nearing the end” of schooling life and the stresses that time brings.

Liam says “it was written during that weird phase where you’re happy and going out to parties, drinking etc, but it’s conflicted with the sadness that you’re actually about to finish school and leave the comfort of childhood behind. I guess it’s just the general sadness of growing up and having to start worrying about
the future”.

About this track...

It's about the phase between growing up and not letting go of childhood. you’re happy and going out to parties, drinking etc, but it’s conflicted with the sadness that you’re actually about to finish school and leave the comfort of childhood behind. It’s just the general sadness of growing up.
