Áine Tyrrell - Where Were You

Áine Tyrrell - Where Were You
“I didn't know where else to go. I needed to feel my pulse again.”

After growing up in the court of Irish music royalty, and spending formative years in Dublin singer-songwriter circles, Áine Tyrrell travelled the world sharing her music, finally settling on the Australian coast. Buying a 1966 Bedford bus in which to house herself and her three small children, Áine has been establishing herself as an artist to watch with live performances full of honesty and passion. Áine’s ability to connect and interact has found her invited onstage with Shane Howard and Clare Bowditch, and she raised $15k via Pozible to record her debut album Queen Of Swords on the bus in the Australian outback, before winning Queenscliff Music Festival’s 'Emerging Talent 2014'.

Áine is a singer songwriter with a sound transcending convention, at times tribal, at times fragile. This unique talent continues to infiltrate the hearts and minds of music lovers everywhere, as she embraces her new-found freedom and commitment to her own dream.

"Soul, intelligence, wit and wisdom, history and mystery and a voice that brings it all together. Don't miss her, for fear that you might miss the very thing you need." Shane Howard

About this track...

From an album that applauds the ability to trust that inner voice, listen to that little heart – the inner knowing we ignore for so many reasons – comes a song that marks a time when faith seemed impossible, the delicate and uplifting first single, ‘Where Were You.’
