Working again with producer Wade Keighran (Hockey Dad, Polish Club) “Just Us” sees the band delving into a richer, darker sound - a lurching bass line and a trappy hip-hop groove drive the song forward while vocalist Rowen Tucker spits cutting witticisms over it all. The song reaches an apex of boiling guitar distortions and crunching drums which carry the last line “the last two people on Earth” back into the darkness and quickly as the wave rolled in, “Just Us” is a short, sharp jab from one of the fittest bands in Sydney right now.
The band have kept busy in the past six months, releasing their debut EP Cortisone and selling out the launch at The Chippo Hotel. They then released a split 7” with Sydney mates Nick Nuisance & The Delinquents, consequently selling out the Sydney launch show at Marrickville Bowlo before touring the east coast in support of the release.
