So far the album has received a number of honors such as album of the week on Radio National, PBS Fm, Abc Darwin, Good Morning Country and 4zzz. It has also been nominated as one of the best country / roots releases of 08/09 by Twang Nation.
John Nutting, host of ABC's Saturday Night Country, has been particularly supportive of the band- describing them in Capital News as "one of the most refreshing acts to emerge in a very long time" and including one of their tracks on his recent 'Tracks of Tragedy' compilation (Universal).
Following a sold-out album launch in Melbourne and great shows up and down the east coast, The Wildes made their debut at the Gympie Muster (on the main stage and the muster club) where they met with much success and were hailed my many as the 'discovery' of the festival.
