James Sidebottom’s primal soul vocals and Sean Vagg’s sexy saxophone, backed by the mammoth rhythms of Shaun Klinger (guitars), Stu Hazelman (drums/vocals), Ben Huisman (keys) and Mark Stipic (bass) create a high-energy live frenzy you must experience to believe!
With a long-running residency at Cherry Bar’s renowned soul night, and regular gigs at such iconic Melbourne venues as Red Bennies, Revolver and The Espy, The Skylines' live show never fails to get the crowd on its feet.
The Skylines have played support to Mark Seymour, and were booked as the party band to follow Vanessa Amorossi at Moomba Festival 2010. They played the 2011 St Kilda Festival and have even performed for Jamie Oliver at the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
Having released the ‘Right Track’ EP to great reviews, the band is ecstatic about the 7-inch single and film clip release for ‘Skylines Groove’ lifted from their debut album ‘Electricity on Fire’.
If you’re into soulful vocals, booty shaking bass and a super good time, then look out for The Skylines and their crazy funk explosion!
About this track...
Skylines Groove is gonna take you higher!”
If their debut single is any indication, the intention is clear… the party has arrived and it’s time to get down.
Also known as the band's theme song at their intense live shows.
