The Oyster Murders enjoy this esoteric approach to pop culture, often weaving in amongst introspective lyrics, obscure and subtle references to little known Chaplin films, faded stars and stories from old sci fi pulp magazines. The backdrop for this lyrical collage is a sound punctuated by large pop moments, ambient guitars, vintage synth's and at times, densely layered instrumentation.
Husband and wife duo Grant and Wendy Redgen front the group, vocally playing on their ability to create fragile and moody back and forths, while Adam Buchanan, Shaun Edwards and Chris Mcpherson are responsible for the bands overarching sound.

A testament to their ambition is their plan to re-locate to New York City towards the end of the year, with their sights set on the CMJ new music festival.
