The Electric SunKings' birth came from numerous band and line-up changes as well the life experiences on the musical journey each band member has endured over the last 6-8 years.
The Electric SunKings added a new element to the Ballarat music scene with their take of Post Classic Rock.The band quickly recorded a demo in late 2010 but a couple of line-up changes didn't see the band hitting the gigs with intensity to mid 2011.
The original music produced by The Electric SunKings has a pleasant blend of melodic guitars, catchy lyrics, harmonies, driving bass and rolling drums that gets people up and about rocking. Indeed, the music reflects the wide and diverse musical influences that each band member brings to the whole. Influences range from seminal bands like The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix,The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Sabbath, The Misunderstood, and the likes of Madder Lake, Spectrum, Country Joe and the Fish, and so on. The Electric SunKings produce a style of Post Classic Rock to appeal across a wide demographic.
On guitar/vocals is Chris Barbetti sharing vocals with Kobie Brown/guitar. Providing the rythym section are John Finch/Bass and energetic James Hughes on drums.
