Jason Coleman is an internationally renowned dancer, choreographer and director who has been a judge on TV shows Pop Stars, So You Think You Can Dance and most recently on Celebrity Apprentice. Jason has broadened his career into Australia’s music scene with the creation of his own independent label, Groove Pill Records.

Based on his admiration for hit ‘music maker’ companies C&C Music Factory, Jason has also formed an in-house song writing and production team called The Collective Sound. His two musical partners in this exciting project are Peter Harrington-Olsen and Matt Sofo.

Peter, lead singer from Melbourne funk dance outfit ‘Dirty Laundry’, is a singer, dancer, songwriter and creator of The Collective Sound’s grooves.

Matt, the producer of The Collective Sound’s beats, comes from a strong musical background. Last year Matt created a track featuring New York rapper ‘DatDeal’ which spent 14 weeks in the ARIA charts.

The combination of Matt’s ‘beats’, Pete’s ‘grooves’ and Jason’s ‘hooks’ is what has created this new sound, The Collective Sound! Working with a large pool of talent and featuring various Australian artists, the first single from The Collective Sound, Save The World, features nine of Australia’s hottest female performers, The Nine Lives.

That’s the cheeky theme of ‘Save the World’, the irresistible debut single by The Collective Sound, a new musical explosion from Melbourne.
