Texture Like Sun have finally released the much anticipated “Bottle” from the upcoming record due out early next year. Bottle’ has been a long time coming. Recorded over the course of a year in both Darwin and Melbourne, ‘Bottle’ was produced by Countbounce (TZU’s Pip Norman) who has previously worked with Urthboy and Ash Grunwald. The as yet to be named album is the eagerly awaited follow-up to the band’s 2007 eponymous release (under the name The Commas). The acclaimed album earned the band a publishing deal with Mushroom music and was a favourite at national community radio.
About this track...
'Bottle' is an elegant meditation on the games we play with ourselves through the course of addiction. With each line comes another layer of sound until the song reaches its crescendo – like the arguments it replicates, the concluding blow is both stunning and revelatory.
