Telafonica blends cutting edge electronica with traditional pop songs, abstract melodies with toy and acoustic instruments, electric bluster with melancholy introspection. Its membership is fluid, with a base in Sydney but branching across to London. The band is a constant presence on the Sydney live scene with the occasional foray into farther regions.
Following the release of the album proper, 'Sleeping With The Fishermen', the release of the collection of 7 remix EPs which make up the project continues. 'I Can Hear There's A Peace In The Dark' is the album's fulcrum and, here, stands up to a wide range of reinterpretations.
