Steering By Stars - Lachlan James Wilson, Rory O'Connor, Adrian Reveruzzi and Thomas Smeets - came together over a shared love of early post punk in Adelaide, South Australia. The bands unique post rock take on music embraces the dark romanticism of Bauhaus paired with the geographical isolation of Snowman.
Ties That Bind / Shallow Breath is the follow up single to Steering By Stars debut album 'Cables'. Released in July of last year, the debut received acclaim for its grandiose vision and complex subtlety. The band have recently wowed audiences, playing with Jack Ladder and the Dreamlanders, Leader Cheetah and How To Dress Well (US). The group were also hand-picked to open the 2012 Laneway Festival, playing with M83, The Horrors and Cults.
Steering By Stars will commence an east coast tour in late July/August 2012 (venues to be announced) in support of both singles.
