Asdasfr Bawd - Sayer     Electronic 12/04/2016
Off the back of his two track release ‘Nobody/Love’, Melbourne producer Alex Clayton has been building momentum both locally in the clubs of Melbourne and across music sites worldwide.
‘Sayer’ is a demonstration of a masterful understanding of rhythm. The vocal sampling pushes and pulls the timing of the entire song, while simultaneously elating a beautiful melody, behind simple chords. Of the first single takes from some jungle and footwork influence and rolls them into one.

MUSIC DIRECTOR PICK: Andrew Khedoori, 2ser 107.3, Sydney (NSW)

Asdasfr Bawd - Underpass     Electronic 15/03/2016
The project’s mastermind, 19 year old Alex Clayton – a classically trained pianist and percussionist – constructs music which delves deep into the electronic genre.
'Underpass' is yet again a demonstration of a masterful understanding of rhythm and structure. The songs complexity unravel as the track proceeds, yet no additional part obscures or convolutes another. The title track off the E.p. is a great ambassador for Asdasfr Bawd. Complexity through minimalism at its finest.

MUSIC DIRECTOR PICK: Stephen Goodhew, FBi Radio, Sydney (NSW)

Other tracks by Asdasfr Bawd:  Negative Energy  -  Alsp
Good Morning - The Great Start     Pop, Rock 02/02/2016
Stefan Blair & Liam Parsons met in high school and have been writing songs ever since. In 2013, they went halvsies in a Fostex 4 track tape machine.
A beginners knowledge of guitar and love for people who can actually play the guitar inspired the EP, in which they try and emulate as many real musicians as they can - mainly Paul McCartney.

I'lls - Let Me Have Just One (Planète Remix)     Electronic 15/12/2015
Planète is the project of Dion Tartaglione an Australian artist that dabbles heavily in the synthesized ambient downtempo realm. With the finesse of Four Tet and a uniquely outstanding voice.
Kicking off at a relaxed stride, the build over the remixes 8:30 is so gradual you don’t realise it has hit you until it’s taken hold.

Other tracks by I'lls:  Keep  -  Let Me Have Just One
Wabz - Alley     Electronic 17/09/2015
A lot of new-age electronic musicians create soundscapes despite hardly venturing outside of their bedrooms. The best are the ones who have experienced a bit of the world - Wabz
'Alley' is kind of like what would've happened if Four Tet had been really into UK Garage around the time he released Pause or Rounds.

Asdasfr Bawd - Love     Electronic 02/09/2015
19 year old Alex Clayton – currently studying classical piano and percussion at Melbourne University – constructs music which delves deep into the electronic genre
"I tried to invoke a feeling of energy in people as they listened. A kinetic impulse to move in some way and to invoke a deep kind of feeling. Any feeling. I think thats basically the dynamic I'm after in my music".

Good Morning - On the Street     Pop, Rock 24/07/2015
A beginners knowledge of guitar and love for people who can actually play the guitar. They try and emulate as many real musicians as they can - mainly Paul McCartney.
If the two track was a teen movie,‘On The Street’ would be a cool, tough guy - he don’t care if he gets in trouble cause who needs rules man.

Good Morning - A Vessel     Rock 27/05/2015
Solitaire are thrilled to announce the release of A Vessel/Radiovoice, a new two track release from Melbourne’s Good Morning - the recording project of Stefan Blair & Liam Parsons.
‘A Vessel’ throws wobbly synths, double drum kits, awkward falsetto and backwards loops into the mix, resulting in new ground being covered.

Other tracks by Good Morning:  Radiovoice
Asdasfr Bawd - Nobody (Nico Niquo RMX)     Electronic 04/05/2015
19 year old Alex Clayton – currently studying classical piano and percussion at Melbourne University – constructs music which delves deep into the electronic genre
"I tried to invoke a feeling of energy in people as they listened. A kinetic impulse to move in some way and to invoke a deep kind of feeling. Any feeling. I think that's basically the dynamic I'm after in my music".

Wabz - Sweetwater Creek     Electronic 01/04/2015
A lot of new-age electronic musicians create soundscapes despite hardly venturing outside of their bedrooms. The best are the ones who have experienced the world – Wabz definitely fits bill.
Sweetwater Creek is a mix of delicate, dreamy soundscapes and uptempo beats which pay homage to earlier UK garage and 2-step production. The track chops up and strings together vocal samples that seemingly would never work together but somehow create evolving hooks and melodies.

Other tracks by Wabz:  Alley  -  Confide In Me
Good Morning - Warned You     Rock, Experimental 17/01/2015
Stefan Blair & Liam Parsons come from Melbourne, Australia. In 2013, they went halvsies in a Fostex 4 track tape machine. Good Morning is the result of that investment.
The third single to be released from Good Morning’s upcoming debut EP, 'Warned You' is the first song written with an EP in mind - a combination of tape-fucked guitars, soft rock and undeveloped harmonies.

Good Morning - Once You Know     Rock, Experimental 22/11/2014
Stefan Blair & Liam Parsons come from Melbourne, Australia. In 2013, they went halvsies in a Fostex 4 track tape machine. Good Morning is the result of that investment.
Once You Know: This Track suffered through an extended outro, a horrible section with cowbell and some real psychotic harmonies. These were replaced by 'melt' guitars and a section that we like to call 'oriental lick'. We think these work much better than cowbell, and we hope you agree.

River Yarra - Moonlight Disco     Electronic 22/11/2014
River Yarra is the brand new project from Raudie McLeod.
River Yarra has once again come out of hiding to put out his latest single Moonlight Disco. The unmistakable synthesised sound of early eighties disco, taking on a slow, delicate yet deliberate journey through the River Yarra.

I'lls - Fifty-Phiphti     Electronic, Experimental, Soundscapes 22/10/2014
I’lls (Hamish Mitchell, Simon Lam & Dan Rutman), are preparing for a return to the spotlight with the premiere of their brand new two-track Fifty-Phiphti / Asakusa.
Fifty/phiphti builds on the bands’ ability to create forward thinking electronic music that pushes the boundaries whilst still maintaing the soundscapes for which I'lls have become so well known. This one-off release is an exploration into the world of modular synthesizers while enhancing their unique approach to sampling and recording.

Good Morning - Don't Come Home Today     Rock, Experimental 18/10/2014
Stefan Blair & Liam Parsons come from Melbourne, Australia. In 2013, they went halvsies in a Fostex 4 track tape machine. Good Morning is the result of that investment.
The first single to be released from Good Morning’s upcoming debut EP, 'Don't Come Home Today' is the first song written with an EP in mind - a combination of tape-fucked guitars, soft rock and undeveloped harmonies.

River Yarra - The Look     Electronic, Ambience, Dance, Experimental 11/10/2014
River Yarra: ‘Psych-Cosmic-Bush-Dance’. An accomplished musician and visual artist, RY's work occupies a space between peaceful days, decadent nights, equally informed by the quiet, green suburbia of his childhood.
‘The Look’, River Yarra’s debut single, started taking shape on a holiday to a friend’s farm in regional Victoria. Field recordings of rocks being thrown into ponds and people yelling to the forest were turned into a fifteen minute textural study, before being given more of a ‘traditional’ song format.
