'Calypso Beach' was written in Melbourne, then re-worked in London becoming one of the earlier songs written for Dare. "It started to then have a life of its own as we stripped back the beginning giving the song a chance to breathe and take on an almost ballad like dynamic”.

There’s a sleepy lethargy that asserts itself at the beginning of ‘Words With Friends’, but it’s clear that there’s tension brewing beneath the surface. The culmination of that frustration is the ominous bridge towards the end of the song which explodes into a rock laden guitar riff.
