To celebrate her success, she released ‘Burning’ her debut album. Co-producer Lez Karski (co-founder Bondi Cigars, producer Midnight Oil, Nick Cave, The Triffids) describes ‘Burning’ as a ‘timeless classic’.
‘Burning ‘ is a showcase of WA’s Great Southern talent – thirteen instruments harmonise with Keane’s melodious ballads including cello, 5 string violin, piano, harmonica and violin.
Exquisite heartfelt vocals, richly delivered with a sensitive poetic dynamic, Simone Keane is known for being able to shift the mood from a lullaby to a sassy, rhythmic piece. Some listeners have described being moved to tears by the album’s overall beauty.
The title track features on the 2011 Kiss My WAMi Compilation CD, amongst acts such as Jebediah and Birds of Tokyo.
