A space where love is not bought or sold like a commodity.
A space where dry bones get up and walk.”
Selahphonic are musicians come filmmakers that bring their highly energetic, synth-fused rock to life with films that tell raw and real stories. The last 4 years have seen them bring their unique video-sonic shows to festivals, all ages events and secondary colleges across Australia. Selahphonic’s edge is to use their music and film not just for entertainment but to engage this generation of young people where they’re at, sparking conversation around issues of identity, loneliness, bullying and sexuality. Ultimately screaming out the message that there is hope.
Originally founded in Melbourne, they have recently established themselves on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and are continuing to grow their impact on a national level.
Their most recent E.P and film ‘Elephannt’ was created in late 2010 in the cold wetlands of Melbourne. It has had audiences dancing like crazy banshees to the infectious rhythms of “Spark” (the first single) and chanting for a revolution in “Noise” that would make the most devout Che Guevara follower envious.
