Ryan Sterling has released his fourth album Cut From Clouds. Written, recorded and played by Ryan the album showcases Ryan's unique approach to folkish, fingerpicked guitar music.
Playing in the country/rock/folk band Ryan Sterling and the Sister City, Ryan has released the albums Sister City (S/T) and the solo album Stupid Heart at the beginning of 2011 with Cut From Clouds being released at the end of 2011. His debut solo album Never Really There was released in 2007.
Ryan's music has been played on many community stations across Australia as well as JJJ. Triple R and PBS in Melbourne have been particularly supportive.
The video for the song I Wrote Your Name in the Sand has been played on Rage a few times.
Ryan Sterling and the Sister City are currently starting their second album and Ryan is also working on his next solo record.

Wild Wind has a fingerpicked guitar line which moves along with a driving bass and drums groove. The melodic harmonica line draws the listener in. The layered vocal takes influence from artists like Prince with falsetto backing vocals. The lyric "Light was on" was influenced by Sex and the City!
