The Tango Saloon - The Legend Of Tango     Rock, Soundtrack (Film Related), Acoustic 04/02/2015
Tango meets spaghetti western in this 8-piece ensemble, largely instrumental but with vocals from Elana Stone, Jane Sheldon and Mike Patton. Formed in 2005 and based in Sydney, Australia.
A spaghetti western hero's theme, sung by Elana Stone, complete with twanging guitars, strings, horns and a touch of exotic percussion. Reminiscent of some of the film themes of the great Ennio Morricone.

Other tracks by The Tango Saloon:  Smoking Gun  -  Valentino
Umlaut - SFDA     Rock, Instrumental, Soundtrack (Film Related) 04/08/2014
Umlaut is the brainchild of ex-Mr. Bungle saxophonist and composer Bär McKinnon. Echoes of his work with Mr. Bungle are evident, though ultimately this is a very personal project.
The first single from Umlaut's second album 'To Your Poverty Quietly Go'. A strangely comforting mix of eerie synths, swinging vibes and bassoon, Beach Boys vocal harmonies, climaxing with a triumphant spaghetti western guitar theme.

Other tracks by Umlaut:  The Eleventh Victim  -  Party Socks
The Tango Saloon - Don't Close Your Eyes     Rock, Electronic, Atmospheric 01/05/2014
Tango meets spaghetti western in this 9-piece ensemble, largely instrumental but with vocals from Elana Stone, Jane Sheldon and Mike Patton. Formed in 2005 and based in Sydney, Australia.
A spaghetti western electro-pop miniature, featuring the beautiful soaring vocals of Elana Stone, plus reverb-soaked guitars, military snare, trumpets and a hint of vibraphone. Wait for the middle section where a set of alluring piano chords briefly draw focus.

Other tracks by The Tango Saloon:  Dance Of The Ivory Stiletto
Julian Curwin - High Noon     World, Instrumental, Grunge, Roots 01/03/2014
Julian Curwin’s The Mango Balloon was developed in 2010, essentially a stripped-back chamber version of The Tango Saloon.
A grungy sea shanty waltz, driven by electric guitar, with accordion, trumpet, double bass and drums.

Other tracks by Julian Curwin:  The Pigeon  -  White Elephant
Darth Vegas - Space Sounds     Rock, Atmospheric, Psychedelic, Hardcore 10/08/2013
The soundtrack for a cult B-grade film about an opium-addicted ghost falling in love with a four-breasted robot, set against a war between vampire-gypsies and surf-loving ninjas from outer space.
The first single from Brainwashing For Dirty Minds, Space Sounds is a musical adventure into outer space, full of synths, kooky horn fanfares and effected vocals. Part Space Odyssey, part Space Oddity, and just that tiny bit MacArthur Park..?

Tango meets spaghetti western in this 9-piece ensemble, largely instrumental but with vocals from Elana Stone, Jane Sheldon and Mike Patton. Formed in 2005 and based in Sydney, Australia.
Featuring soaring vocals by Elana Stone, this is a soundtrack-style piece driven by clavinet, strings and the twang of spaghetti western guitar.

Other tracks by The Tango Saloon:  Rendez-Vous  -  John Doe
The Tango Saloon - In Black And White     Rock, Retro, Australian Indigenous, Pop 10/08/2013
Tango meets spaghetti western in this 9-piece ensemble, largely instrumental but with vocals from Elana Stone, Jane Sheldon and Mike Patton. Formed in 2005 and based in Sydney, Australia.
Like a theme for a James Bond film, if that film was directed by David Lynch. Featuring the amazing vocals of Elana Stone, some retro latin flavours from the rhythm section, and punching in with a full brass section on the chorus.
