Young Newcastle based folk duo Riley and Donna are looking forward to a promising 2012. Drawing upon their varied musical influences, they construct haunting melodies which create a unique soul infused ‘indie-folk’ sound.
In their short time together, they have done a self managed tour of Queensland and Melbourne, and shared stages with artists such as Jen Buxton, Steve Smyth and Frankie And The Moon.
Recently selected to play several local boutique Newcastle festivals, they are regulars at original venues such as Lizottes, The Cambridge, and the Great Northern, slowly broadening their horizons to include Sydney venues like The Annandale Hotel.

This is one of the first few songs we wrote. We really liked the idea of putting a trumpet line in the song, it kinda gives helps establish a certain overall tone to the song
