Love Parade - Like Lovers Do     Pop 04/05/2012
Love Parade are a jangly power pop band from Sydney who write songs with chorus and harmonies.
Like Lovers Do’ is the first taste from the debut record. Like all good pop singles it comes in under three-minutes. The track was produced by Robert.F.Cranny (Sarah Blasko) features the engineering skills of Jim Moginie (Midnight Oil), Jay Whalley (Frenzal Rhomb), which all makes sense once you hear it.

The Fingers Malone Ensemble - Push     Electronic, Chill, Dub 04/05/2012
From bass heavy clubs in East London to martinis on Byron Bay beaches. Fingers Malone create music that simultaneously oozes the feeling of late heady nights and lazy long afternoons.
‘Push’ is a beautiful tragedy set to a hypnotic electronic beat. It tells the tale of a girl who blazes her own path in a world full of pressure to conform and appease. She cannot, however, shake her feelings of duty to others and this brings about her ultimate downfall.

Other tracks by The Fingers Malone Ensemble:  I Have Got You

Number Station are a 5-piece indie pop band from Melbourne, and are previous winners of Triple J Unearthed. Their debut EP, Everything Will Change, is released on May 4, 2012.
The title track from Number Station's debut EP, ‘Everything Will Change’ melds the band’s trademark glassy vocals with driving post-punk beats and jagged Sonic-Youth inspired guitars, resulting in one of the best examples of the group's distinctive sound and sophisticated songwriting.

Other tracks by Number Station:  Hold On  -  Broke
Isidore - Reappearance     Rock 29/03/2012
Isidore is a transatlantic collaboration between Jeffery Cain and Steve Kilbey (The Church) that has yielded two dark and hypnotic psychedelic masterpieces. Life Somewhere Else is the latest.
For all intensive purposes, “Reappearance” should be Life Somewhere Else’s main track. What we have here is a call to arms – a bravado fuelled statement of purpose heralding the return of this dynamic duo. It’s a little bit hip hop, a little bit Loveless, and 100% amazing. Welcome back.

Other tracks by Isidore:  Song Of The City  -  Belle In Mid Air

Hard-Ons - Me Going Out Flanno     Metal/Punk, Pop, Hardcore 12/10/2011
Hard-Ons is more than just an outlet for charismatic and "sex symbol" Blackie... This EP is a mix of pop/punk rock and hardcore that's so heady, it's almost unbelievable!
Before grunge, before hipsters, before I got in trouble with the rental board with late payment... Oh hang on, lost me track... Oh yeah - a simple love song to the humble assie flanno and devolping stockholm syndrome with people in ya lives!

Other tracks by Hard-Ons:  Watch Ya Step Boy  -  It Might Seem Like A Lonely Ship Passing Thru The Night But There's Actually A Mad Party Going On Aboard
Aural Window - Till The World Ends     Rock, Hardcore 16/09/2011
Melbourne’s Aural Window probes the outer limits of alt-rock/post-hardcore cargo by whipping big guitar riffs and booming rhythm together to a frenzied yet intricate sound.
Britney Spears’s smash hit captured the imagination of the band when they realised they could do something pretty special with it. Injecting intricate guitar licks on an already infectious dance beat of the original; Aural Window’s cover gives the track a multi-layered and kaleidoscopic rock sound.

Other tracks by Aural Window:  Ghost of Light  -  Amber's First Kiss
Laura Imbruglia - Why'd You Have To Kiss Me So Hard?     Pop, Rock, Psychedelic 16/09/2011
Settled in her adopted hometown, Melbourne, Laura is back with new material - "Why'd You Have To Kiss Me So Hard?”- a psychedelic about-turn from her recent alt country explorations.
Laura Imbruglia presents new single "Why'd You Have To Kiss Me So Hard?". This rock nugget is a psychedelic about-turn from her recent alt country explorations. Produced by Liam Judson (Cloud Control), and backed by a smoking hot band, Laura shows yet another side of her versatility. Groovy!

Johnny Rock & The Limits - Give You What You Need     Rock 13/09/2011
Johnny Rock and The Limits have an energy you wish you could bottle. Somewhere between a hurricane and a 6y.o. full of sugar. And that’s just how they like it.
the summer hit that wont quit! there's no wonder why Cornetto wanted it for their Summer TV commercial, it rolls along perfect for long drives. it was re-recorded for the commercial so this is the original 4 to the floor ROCK version never previously released.

Other tracks by Johnny Rock & The Limits:  Shoeshine
Jessamine - 1000 Liars     Rock, Pop 15/08/2011
Jessamine; an eclectic and melodic repertoire that ranges from slowcore, indie pop and alternative rock; Jess's feet firmly ensconced in her rock "past" as guitarist in Sydney's ARIA nominated Nitocris.
The first collaboration for Jessamine, written by fellow band member Damien Foxton and Jess Finlayson. It is basically about seeing through other people’s motives and not allowing people to trap you into their way of thinking, keeping your friends close and your enemies even closer.

Other tracks by Jessamine:  Imaginary Friend  -  Who's Laughing?
Blackie - Sent     Pop, Acoustic 22/07/2011
Playing music since falling in love with punk rock at the end of 1979, Blackie has been a founding member of long time Ozzie punks The Hard-Ons.
Sent is Blackie's personal fave on the record! He took a bit of a gamble knowing that he wanted strings but was unable to score music and had to rely on being able to "hum" the parts to the violinist. Thank eff it worked! Catchy pop!

Other tracks by Blackie:  Heaven With Their Stars Above  -  I'm Sorry Julie
Laura Imbruglia - Pauly     Pop, Punk, Folk 08/07/2011
Laura Imbruglia's been kicking around the Australian music scene for 10 years, has toured countless times including Europe twice. She listens to Hank Williams & The Ramones in equal measures.
Featured on ABC2’s “I Rock”, this sugary power-pop nugget is a simple ode to Laura's dearest friend. Sounding like a b*stard child of Kim Deal-and-Brian Wilson, who has been inappropriately interfered with by Phil Spector, it's so catchy you won't even notice the grammatical error in the 2nd line!

Other tracks by Laura Imbruglia:  When It All Falls Apart (And It Will)  -  I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend
Sianna Lee - Mothers And Daughters     Folk, Acoustic, Rock, Chill 06/07/2011
A songwriter/guitarist devoted to exploration of dark, internal and uncomfortable terrain. Her arrangements are dynamic and the metaphors drawn from far and wide, wrapped mercifully around the most pointed truths.
‘Mothers and Daughters’ is written about the misunderstandings and emotional fissures that can exist between mothers and their respective daughters. It is one of several examples of ‘Phoenix Propeller’ stylistically dabbling in folk /country. It has a driving assortment of uneasy harmonies, accordion, tambourine and Ned Collette’s banjo.

Other tracks by Sianna Lee:  You Are The Sea  -  Dark Enough to See the Stars
