Quorum Consensus is a musical meeting of the minds. The movement began over a decade when the creative brains trust and mid-north coast misfits AeoN and Non Official Cover (N.O.C) repeatedly met through an unrelated sequence of events. In the randomness to follow the duo somehow found themselves north of the border relatively detached from reality creating their own world of sound from the dark corners of their minds, in the confines of their lab; the infamous Skybar Studios.
With the studio acting as a refuge, an eclectic mix of derelict musicians from all walks of life have passed through the doors, scoring tonnes of tunes, and recording sounds right across the spectrum. Over the years the pair have recruited the percussive talents of Daniel Ogilvie (Emma Louise), versatile vocalist Teach (Fat Tuesday), metal front-man Seabass (Kablamo!) and turntable tech-hound Brother Beans (Scripted Dialects). The combination results in the Quorum Consensus – an indefinable, genre-crushing sound, swerving seamlessly between funk, electro-rave-hop, folk, metal, jazz & blues.
