Linda Wood - Shut Up And Dance     Pop, Acoustic, Easy Listening, World 19/04/2013
According to one fan: "Kate Bush with balls". However, this ukulele wielding songstress's melodic, eclectic 'quirk-pop' is akin to Norah Jones blended with Elvis Costello - groovy, honest, organic.
The coolest triangle sparkles subtly over a sultry drum rhythm that could be a rumba or bachata with it's acoustic bass vibe, nylon string guitar and gorgeous flugelhorn. The understated organ is the delicious glue that is hardly noticeable but definitely there under the somewhat jazz inspired melody.
