Nikki Thorburn is a breath of fresh air to the Australian music scene. This young and beautiful Sydney songstress successfully combines the smooth sounds of Indie-Folk and Jazz, binding them together with her unique and captivating vocal style to create something that is both youthful and exciting.
After spending a sizeable portion of late 2009 locked away in a Melbourne studio with The Cat Empire’s Ollie McGill and a revolving group of prominent musicians, Nikki managed to bring to life the wonderful collection of songs that now make up her Debut EP To The Place. Nikki has been lucky enough to appear on air with Robbie Buck as both an interviewee and performer in November 2010. She has also been played on Triple J and various other independent radio stations (Fbi, 3RRR) and she has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Australian musical legend Diesel.
