zxspecky - Clay Lucy (Is A Test Pilot)     Metal/Punk, Punk, Garage 07/08/2010
High speed distorto-pop!
An ode to character/cast/crew member whose name flashed by on the credits of a film someone was once watching. In all likelihood, we have their name wrong.

Other tracks by zxspecky:  Unsolicited Promotional Material Romantic  -  Puerto Chicxulub
Yes I'm Leaving - Burn     Rock, Garage, Punk, Pop 10/01/2012
Noisy garage punk 'n' roll but unable to temper it's pop sensibilities. Yes I'm Leaving will make you want to scream along.
Burn is a classic example of Yes I'm Leaving at their ferocious and melodic best. Scream along please.

Other tracks by Yes I'm Leaving:  Ignorants  -  Pour It Out
Xenograft - Pineal     Rock, Metal, Instrumental 16/11/2011
Xenograft comfortably straddle the borders of math-rock, prog rock and space funk while their live show is raw, energetic and leaves audiences stunned with their unparalleled flawlessness.
'Pineal' is the first track from the debut release from Xenograft. Raging between heavy riffs and soaring, powerful melodic lines, the unique addition of saxophone in an instrumental math-rock band frames the chaotic atmosphere to this track.

Other tracks by Xenograft:  Alien Gods  -  Exit
Wedgetail - Rearranged     Rock, Rock, Psychedelic, Grunge 01/12/2012
Wedgetail cook up a blend that includes punk rock, the psychedelic swirls of 60’s garage and the tougher edges of 90’s shoegaze. The result is arrestingly complex, melodic and powerful.
Rearranged features strong melodic hooks, a bouncing rythm and contrasting textures, overlaid with swirling guitars.

Other tracks by Wedgetail:  Captain Says  -  Eildon
We Lost The Sea - Barhan Charge     Metal/Punk, Rock, Experimental, Atmospheric 18/12/2012
We Lost The Sea are an exciting prospect for the Australian underground heavy music scene. They combine brutal riffs with delicate ambient passages and startling left-turns within their ambitious songwriting.
We Lost The Sea showcase their epic post-metal sound on 'Barkhan Charge'.

The track builds from gentle ambience into a full-blown aural assault of climactic proportions. Guttaral screams and slow-moving walls of guitars combine to render the ambient monolith asunder.

Other tracks by We Lost The Sea:  Nuclear City
Waverley - Where Were You     Rock 28/09/2011
Waverley bring to the table an unforgettable breed of indie rock with a dirty, 90's twist that land your feet firmly on a place in time.
The unmistakable opening line sets up "Where Were You" as a gritty, indie rock song with a perpetually questioning chorus that will buzz in your head for days. The story follows two lovers, neither making the effort for the other, but to stubborn to just let it go.

Vulpes Vulpes - Mirrorvine     Rock, Punk, Britpop 12/06/2012
A solid fix of punchy British post-punk/indie, with an arid American dirty rock and roll.
Vulpes Vulpes have wrapped up their live show energy, punchy rhythms and gritty guitar riffs into one explosive package. The vocals haul the listener into a new psychological landscape for a shaky emotional trip and a good kick in the head. 'Mirrorvine' marks the stamping down of Vulpes Vulpes'.

Twisted Affection - That's What She Said     Metal/Punk, Punk, Rock 17/01/2012
Confident young four-piece from Perth who have only been around a short time. High energy punk rockers with throwbacks to killer melodies and riffs.
Powerful, uptempo punk/pop/rock tune with familiar old school punk riffs & melodies.

Twelve Foot Ninja - Coming For You     Metal/Punk, Rock 06/11/2012
With the release of their debut album Silent Machine, Twelve Foot Ninja have cemented their reputation as Australia's next big thing in heavy alternative music.
Blending explosive rock riffs, electronica, latin, funk and a tasteful metal injection - 'Coming For You' is the perfect embodiment of Twelve Foot Ninja's ability to seamlessly pair genres that aren't usually friends. It's the 2nd single from what many are heralding as "the heavy rock album of the year.”

Other tracks by To The North:  Doubt the Shadow Not the Sun  -  Progress Broke The Saddle
Tiny Spiders - Shoot The Rainbow Rays Out     Rock, Pop, Punk, Experimental 30/07/2012
Loose, noisy, crazy. Two-piece featuring crushing guitar fuzz and out of control drums. Somehow still pop. Must be the vocal melodies. You figure it out.
Bass heavy, fuzzed out guitar that moves between sugar-filled melodies and powerful riffage, pushed along by pounding drums. All the while, sweet vocal melodies tell a tale of an almost supernatural foreboding.
