Setting an expectation of high energy and an engaging live show at festivals Big Day Out, One Movement and Fuse, Messrs will make their debut under the new name at this years Parklife Festival on October 3rd.
Quickly winning over new fans, it was a demo of new single ‘Everyone Knows’, which caught the ear of Great Escape Festival Director Jon Mclldowie, picking the band to play the 2011 UK festival.
Kicking off a 12 date DIY tour across the UK and Europe through May, The Great Escape showcase was an experience of highs and lows to say the least. From the highs of playing to packed rooms in Brighton alongside bands like The Jezabels, Seekae and Little Red and headlining a 2,000 person capacity venue just one night after Wu-Tang in Munich. To the lows of five guys living and traveling in a campervan for four weeks.
‘Everyone Knows’ written in just under 30 minutes, the band then worked on production with Yama Indra ‘G.L.O.V.E.S’ (Cat Call, Cut Copy and Miami Horror). Taking the song from its rather basic roots into a sprawling combination of synths, arpeggios and organic elements.
