Sydney born Melissa Robertson is a country-folk singer and songwriter who began singing solo at the age of 16 representing her school in regional concerts, musicals, and the school rock band.
Moving west of the Blue Mountains Melissa's passion for country and folk music grew as she began writing songs about her life experiences and her natural surrounds.
In 2009 Melissa released her debut EP Ride Of Your Life and the title track was shortlisted in the Australian Songwiritng Associations Competition.
In 2010 two more of Melissa's songs were shorltisted in the ASA competition and she made her debut Tamworth performance at WJO's second showcase and became the inaugural Champion of the Wattle Flat Country Music Awards.
This year Melissa released her debut album My Beautiful World at the Canberra Country Music Festival. The Title track was shortlisted in the top 25 songs of the folk section of the ASA competition.
Melissa won the Wattle Flat Country Music Awards again this year and sung on 5 stages at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, and performed at the Henry Lawson Festival, Kalari River Arts Festival and next year at the TCMF with the TSA and on the Touchwood stage.
