Matt Purcell has previously been in Syd band Mahogany Blaze featured on FBi Radio's Kill your Idols. Matt's first musically outfit was in school band Clover, who won the NSW Tafe Band comp, came runner-up in the NSW Uni Band comp & played with Richard Clapton, Mental as anything & Glide. Matt went on to form Deluxe who played with You Am I, Powderfinger, Custard, The Welcome Mat & Elastica & recorded for JJJ's Aus Music show. Matt's debut album, recorded entirely by Matt & mixed by indie fav Wayne Connolly, was released in 2010. Matt & Band officially Launch Album #2, titled 'Mathew St' on 21/06/12 at The Green Room, Enmore. It has been over a year in the works and has been influenced by travels to the musical homes of Ireland & Liverpool UK where Matt played in 2011. It is now available on iTunes.

'Ive been told' is a melodic, Jangly, guitar pop song, influenced by Bands like The La's & Teenage Fanclub, with a unique approach. It is a guitar sound that is seeped in the 60's, it also features fiddle, great harmonies & lyric's inspired by Pink Floyd's founding member, Syd Barrett.
