‘Tomorrow Night’ is a pre-apocalyptic dreamscape of an under equipped, over indulged society. Fortunately, songwriter Dan Flynn offers redemption via glorious melodies, sweet harmonies and a cathartic waltz around the proverbial campfire.
After a year of recording, mixing and intermittent shows with his folk/noise side project Children of the Wave, Major Chord has emerged with a pop-infused, folk related, long debated work of art.
This time around Major Chord uses more percussion, sharpens the arrangements and delves a little deeper to deliver a result that is sometimes bleak, often hopeful, a little confusing but always true. The ‘psychic civil war’ is the struggle within ourselves and the struggle that is all around us. Major Chord has built a bridge between the two worlds, weaving it all together with sincere vocals and charming melodies in his most accomplished and riveting work to date.
Major Chord will launch ‘Tomorrow Night’ at The Builders Arms on Friday June 10 before supporting Micah P Hinson and Myles Mayo up the East coast this June/July.
