Back in the picture/saddle are long time bandmates Adam May (Drums) and Tim Keegan (Bass) and the recent inclusion of Van Walker (Guitar), Stringer has turned up the heat on her last solo release, the self played, non amplified, Tides of Time, & alchemized the songwriters subtle art with the amplified swagger of a rock band that means business. Brass & keys abound on these explosive songs that import echoes of Americana into the modern Australian landscape & paint something truly reflective of the great southern land.
Recorded at Audrey Studios in Melbourne under the guidance of revered co-producer and engineer Craig Pilkington (who also played horns on the album) Warm In The Darkness is a joyful, guitar-laden homage to the great pop-rock traditions & clearly Stringer’s most confident and accomplished album yet.
“...whether an intimate solo record or a rollicking band album...Liz Stringer is doing her own thing, her own way, and that’s why we respect her so much.”
Samuel J. Fell, Rhythms Magazine
