With the finishing touches to its debut EP done at a makeshift studio in an old paint warehouse, Lavers is here to add a splash of colour to Australia’s music scene.
The indie/rock band, which has been described as anything from The Beatles and Crowded House to Jeff Buckley and Fleet Foxes, has recently released its debut EP ‘The Street Is A Symphony’.
In between recording, mixing and writing new tracks throughout 2011, the band has been gigging relentlessly. The year saw them billed alongside a range of notable artists and headline the ‘Relay For Life’ festival in Kiama; helping raise money for cancer research.
At the core of the band are the brothers, Dominic and Sebastian Lavers, who first performed together in 2009 at the request of their sister, Sophie, after she was crowned Miss World Australia.
It’s been a long time in stepping out of her shadow but the brothers are doing it in style with their first release.
