Kirsten Wood has certainly carved a unique path for someone that started her career aged 16 in the small Tropical Northern town of Cairns in 2010. In 2011, she independently released her debut EP 'The Power of Words' at the Essence Music & Lifestyle Festival alongside acts such as: The Butterfly Effect, Calling All Cars, Shihad, Joel Turner, The Medics and more.
Discovered by Skarlett Saramore in early 2011, and impressed by her drive for helping others, Kirsten was offered a place as an ambassador for the not-for-profit movement 'Less Than Strength', which gave her the opportunity to work alongside artists such as: Cobra Starship, Kill Hannah, Heroes For Hire, Sienna Skies, Fait Accompli and more to help promote awareness for depression, bullying and suicide.
Still under 20, Kirsten Wood's songs evoke a sensation that is nothing short of captivating. Having previously been compared to powerful artists such as Missy Higgens and Hayley Williams, Kirsten's songs continue to deliver a maturity and uniqueness well beyond her years, while her live performances have become renowned for bringing audiences to a complete stand still.
