Discussing the single, front man and chief songwriter Spencer White explains, “'Holy Gun' is another story I wanted to tell. I don’t believe it has any hidden meaning or intent but it does paint a pretty grim story line which I try to pursue in my lyrics every so often”.

Maja - Hurting Now     Funk/Soul, Blues, Folk 18/11/2016
Telling her honest story to the Brisbane music scene, Serbian-born singer-songwriter Maja is gaining quite a reputation for her eccentric character and glittering performances.
The single was produced and mixed by Konstantin Kersting of The Belligerents at Airlock Studios, and is the first taste of her forthcoming second EP. It follows the March release of Maja’s debut self-titled EP, and is set to cement her reputation a serious contender in the Australian music scene.

Rag n' Bone - Last Kind Words     Rock 02/11/2016
Taking influence from the likes of Savages, The Birthday Party and Midnight Oil, Rag n' Bone have been making waves in their hometown for some time.
Produced by Dave Parkin (Jebediah, Tired Lion) at Blackbird Studio, the track has been described by the band as "Robert Crumb and Geeshie Wiley inspired trash that rolls like a train through the Delta" - and it's a ferocious missive on the power of art in memory.

Planet - Can't Connect     Rock, Pop 26/10/2016
Planet’s sound is a memorable concoction of riff heavy hooks and jangly electrics with a direct focus on big chorus’ and melody driven undertones.
The single ‘Can’t Connect’ was recorded earlier this year with vocalist Matty Took engineering the track in his home studio and was mixed by Lachlan Mitchell (The Jezabels, Little Bastard, The Vines) at Studios 301.

Wild Honey - Spirit     Rock 02/09/2016
Since releasing their self-titled debut EP, Wild Honey have clocked over 5000 kilometres touring up and down the East Coast of Australia.
Spirit was recorded in Sydney with artist / producer Jack Moffitt of The Preatures after the now five-piece band spent two days at Moffitt's Doledrums Studios.

Middle Kids - Your Love     Rock, Pop 25/08/2016
Middle Kids hail from Sydney and are made up of Hannah Joy, Tim Fitz and Harry Day. The band gained traction in May with their ambitious single ‘Edge of Town’.
'Your Love' is about when "we hold two contradictory truths equally in our hearts with full confidence. It was important to us that the song felt raw, that the wood and metal and physical dimensions of the rooms and instruments could be experienced."

Moses Gunn Collective have created a dark and brooding world full of 80's synth lines and heavy throbbing disco with "Dream Girls". Frontman Aidan Moore describes the sound as "tighter, weirder, and, we think, more fun" than their first record, "Mercy Mountain".
